Mr. Sutter was born and raised in Miami, but has lived in the Jacksonville area for 20 years. He began his legal career as an associate with Mr. Thomas. Mr. Sutter has handled a wide variety of admiralty and maritime cases, including cargo, collision, limitation of liability, personal injury, salvage, marina liability, vessel arrests, seamen and 905(b) longshoremen, liens, and vessel repair disputes, and has been lead counsel in 30 plus appellate matters. He currently practices Solo as Sutter Maritime, LLC. Mr. Sutter is Board Certified by the Florida Bar in Admiralty and Maritime Law. He is admitted in all Florida Federal District Courts, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of The Florida Bar, the Jacksonville Bar, and SEALI (the most important). He currently serves on the Admiralty Law, Certification and Middle District Admiralty Rules committees. He likes to read, write, work in his shop, race sailboats and coach soccer. (Spouse, Judith, and 3 daughters, all smarter than he is.)
