Michael T. Moore is the Founder and Chairman of Moore & Co., a law firm specializing in marine, aviation, and art law. He is Chairman Emeritus of the International Seakeepers Society. In 2021 he was selected as an AVVO Top Rated Lawyer, was again selected as a Florida Super Lawyer by Super Lawyers Magazine; selected for inclusion in the 26th Edition of Best Lawyers in America; and Americas Most Honored Professionals Top 1%. In addition, in 2021 Mr. Moore was again identified as a Lawyer of Distinction. In 2020 he received the Captain of the Industry Award given by the Sea Ray Corporation. For more than a two decades he has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers In America, as one of the Top Lawyers In South Florida by the South Florida Legal Guide and as one of Florida’s Elite Lawyers as selected by Florida Trend Magazine. Mr. Moore is routinely featured in Who’s Who In American Law and is a Fellow of the American Bar Association. He is a Director of the International Superyacht Society and in 2015 was named International Superyacht Society Business Man of the Year. He is also Trustee of the U.S. Coast Guard Foundation. Mr. Moore was inducted into the Florida Daily Business Review’s Hall of Fame for having obtained several multi-million dollar verdicts in his Clients’ favor. Mr. Moore was successful in obtaining the first permit for legal travel from the United States by a commercial vessel to Cuba since the Revolution. Since then his firm has provided legal support for over 240 yachts which have travelled to Cuba. Mr. Moore is the first person ever to float down the Itchnatucknee River in Columbia County, Florida on an inner tube while reading the Wall Street Journal.
